We are a quality early learning environment for young mokopuna and whānau delivering care and education from birth to school age. Our service has a unique point of difference where as part of a Māori organisation, we can access additional support that assist whānau in all areas of their hauora.
Kahikatea are Kaupapa Māori Services designed in partnership with Te Ara Poutama Aotearoa (Department of Corrections) and Ngati Kahungunu Iwi and Kahungunu Health Services (Choices). Specifically targeting the reintegration of tāne and wāhine involved with the Corrections Department or the Judicial system. They may be on remanded to a community sentence, or remarned to a custodial sentence in prison. Our Kahikatea services are both community based and custodial and target those who whakapapa to the Kahungunu and Tairāwhiti rohe.
