Te Kāinga Pōtiki o Paharakeke
- Early Childhood Centre

We are a quality early learning environment for young mokopuna and whānau delivering care and education from birth to school age.  Our service has a unique point of difference where as part of a Māori organisation, we can access additional support to assist whānau in all areas of their hauora.

Our ways of working embrace whānau of all cultures, and diversity is celebrated in our service where mokopuna can be proud of who they are and where they come from.  Whānau are visible and an important part of our operation, contributing skills and sharing in cultural celebrations.

Our expansive environment offers lots of opportunity for physical development, including a specially designed bike track.  We have separate play areas for our little ones and a specific sleep room to meet the needs of all mokopuna during the day who sleep or rest.

We offer care and education:

  • From birth to school age
  • All meals meet the health and nutritional needs of all ages
  • Shoes, gumboots and socks
  • Winter jackets
  • Headlice treatment
  • Van / Pahi service
  • Access to our Choices Clinics – immunisations, vaccines, individual health needs
  • 20 hours free mokopuna up to the age of three years
  • 20 hours ECE for three and four-year-olds
  • Support with dental enrolments

We welcome all whānau to come in and make a booking or call us to arrange a time to visit and talk about the enrolment of your child.

All visits ensure we can spend time with you, answer your questions, and plan your child starting with us.
